My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I`m Donny! I`m a 2-year-old pup who`s full of energy, love, and tail wags—but I`ve got a little challenge right now. You see, I have heartworms, and it’s been making me feel not quite like myself. My humans are doing everything they can to help me get better, and I know I`ll be back to running, playing, and giving cuddles once I`m through the treatment. If you are interested in giving me a cozy couch to crash on while I go through treatments, please reach out to LTBHS and come on in to meet me!

More about this shelter

Little Traverse Bay Humane Society is dedicated to providing animals the tender, loving care and attention they need to become adoptable companions.

From our humble beginning in 1951, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has grown to meet the needs of homeless dogs and cats. Since moving to our state-of-the-art facility at 1300 West Conway in Harbor Springs, Michigan, in 2001, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has sterilized more than 10,000 animals owned by community members and has placed more than 5,000 animals into loving homes.

In addition to being an adoption center, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society offers a variety of proactive programs to help shelter animals become adoptable companions including the “Pit Stop Program,” the “Ruff-to-Ready Scholarship Program,” “Spay-it-Fourward,” the “Animals Need to Give Everybody Love (ANGEL) Program,” boarding, grooming, daycare, and a full-service veterinary clinic.
