Hi there, my name is Cocoa and I am a pretty little Chihuahua and Dachshund mix about 3 years old, 14 lbs, and I was a very pregnant stray when I was found in San Antonio Texas. I’m a friendly girl and walked right up to some people and asked for help so I wound up in a foster home and just 10 days later I had 3 beautiful healthy babies. Fast forward almost 4 months and my pups have found forever homes, all living in the Northeast, so now it's my turn to get this party started and find my future! I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, current on preventatives, and ready to meet you!
My foster mom says I’m a great little gal with medium energy, a chill personality, friendly with everyone young and old. My goal in life is to be someone's lap dog, soaking up love and pets and snuggles because I adore my people and wouldn't mind being with you all the time. I’m sweet and affectionate, happy and playful, sometimes feeling so overcome with happiness that I’ll start running zoomies around the house, grabbing my doggy toys while in mid-zoom, it’s a crack-up. I love cheese and hotdogs and all types of doggy toys. I’m well-behaved, only bark when I need to alert you, housebroken and I don't mind being in a crate although I don't need to be kept in one and I’d much rather be napping on the couch or snuggled beside you! I hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet little dog like me, so I can't wait to meet them and get my life started! Inquire about me today and bring me home!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
