A24132 Wesley is a white colored, approximately 3-year-old, 53-pound, neutered male, Husky.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 02/19/2025 due to not getting along with the other household dog, for this reason we highly recommend a meet and greet if you have other pets at home.
Wesley is a friendly, timid and shy boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he is so sweet and loves people. He will hide behind you if there is too much noise or commotion. He loves affection and is easy to handle. He will sit at his kennel door patiently waiting for you to open it and give him love. He was easy to leash but pulls in excitement to be out for a walk. He will need some training in leash and commands. He is treat motivated so he may be easy to train. He has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. We would recommend no small children since quick movements and noise scare him. Wesley will be a loving family member in his new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
