Meet Zara! She is a stunning one-year-old Pitty mix who is quite literally the world’s most perfect doggy. Zara was confiscated by police in July and sat in the shelter for almost 4 months before being sentenced to die for length of stay. Zara was a staff favorite and had to be rescued! Zara is truly an incredible angel. Zara loves doggies of all sizes (a dog’s dog) and loves all humans and children. Despite the loss of her home Zara knows when she’s ready to snooze - it’s on the couch or her human's bed. She is incredibly gentle on walks, great in a crate and lovesssss the car!

Zara is a gem in public and has been accompanied us to a few restaurants and outdoor malls. She is always the star of the show! For her age Zara is incredibly mellow and only really shows her puppy energy when there is another dog. Zara is very food and toy motivated and knows some basic commands including “hug” which she gets a lot of. Zara is looking for a loving home where someone is home where someone is home and has another doggy sibling for her to play with. She is crate trained for when you need to go out but is ever so happy once you come back home! If you want Zara to complete your family, get your application in today!

We require an application, application approval, meet and greet, home check, adoption fee and a contract.

2 months -12 months: $425
1 year - 6 years $375
7 years+ - $325

Adoption fee includes :

Shots up to date of adoption, wellness exam, fecal test,
Spay/neuter, Micro-chip and any other medical needed.

We also require to stay first on the micro-chip info for life and have a life time return policy on all our rescue dogs adopted out.

Unfortunately, we do not adopt out of state under any circumstances. We recommend that you visit your local shelter or dog rescues in your area if you are looking to adopt.

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
