Jacket is a 3 year old Corgi ready to keep you warm through these chilly Winter days! Jacket was surrendered to our rescue when her former home wasn’t able to care for her. We thought she needed to go on a diet as she had a lot of extra fluff but it turns out she was pregnant! Jacket gave birth to her adorable accessories and was an amazing Mama. Now, she’s ready to find a forever home of her own where she can live her best life in style! Jacket weighs 23 pounds and is just a gorgeous Merle color. Ready for a warm and cozy bestie? Adopt Jacket today!

Jacket is a happy and loving gal who exemplifies the very best of the Corgi breed. She adores her humans and is so loyal, always following them around as they go about their days. She is very playful and is always down for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. She would be thrilled to discover a pile of toys waiting for her in her forever home, as she deserves only the best in life! Jacket loves to cuddle at the end of a long day, but until she’s tired she’s ready to play play play! She loves her walks and outdoor adventures and would be thrilled to join a family with a long bucket list they want to tackle. Don’t let her low riding status make you think she can’t keep up with the big dogs, our gal can do it all! Jacket has been such a lovely addition to every home she’s graced with her presence, she’s a true gem. Plus, her striking eyes and gorgeous coat make her stand out in a crowd. You’ll be the talk of the neighborhood when you strut down the block with our Jacket, we promise!

Jacket wakes up around 7 AM after sleeping through the night in her crate. She takes a morning potty break and then heads out on her morning walk followed by some playtime. After she returns home and enjoys her breakfast, she gets started on the day's activities. She alternates between hanging around the house near her foster people and playing with her pile of toys. She loves a good game of fetch! She’s great at keeping herself occupied during the day, taking frequent cat-naps when the urge comes to her. She is skilled at using the dog door. After dinner, she hangs out in the living room and watches TV with her humans. She takes one more evening stroll and then heads to her crate for the night.

Jacket lives with her puppies and a large dog. Her and the resident dog play well together and she is curious but respectful of the cats. She walks well on a leash and knows how to use the dog door. She is very smart like any good Corgi and would love attending some additional training to continue her mental stimulation. We would prefer a home with experience training active breeds to ensure she stays agile! Ready to thrift shop for your new bestie? Adopt Jacket!

Jacket is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 3 years. Kids should be over the age of 7. Homes without experience will not be considered.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
