This wonderful one-year-old dog is in need of a forever home. Zia has a heart of gold—she’s friendly, affectionate, and loves nothing more than cuddles and belly rubs. Her sweet nature makes her a joy to be around, and her calm demeanor makes her a great companion for a variety of families. Zia is also a curious and observant dog who loves to explore her surroundings. She’s an excellent walker and is fantastic on a leash, which makes her a great match for someone who enjoys outdoor activities. While she has a calm presence, she’s also playful and loves to have fun, bringing balance to her personality. Please help Zia find her forever family.

Shelby Humane is an open intake facility in Shelby County Alabama. SH takes in over 5000 animals a year. We provide an adoption program, low-cost spay/neuter program, and low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics throughout the County. In 2018, we launched Shelby SafePet, which provides veterinary care and boarding to pets of domestic violence victims.
