Keona is an easy-going little snuggle bug who is happiest in the company of humans. Do you have guests over? This sweet, gentle girl is not shy about coming and joining the action - she loves being a part of the party! Always affectionate and at ease with people, Keona adores being held and will take pleasure in curling up and nestling into your lap. When she's looking for love, Keona will request pets by rubbing her head against your hands or legs. With her tidy litterbox habits and regular use of her scratching post, this polite little girl has been the most respectful guest in her foster home. She’s gentle, easy-going and adapts well to routines. And this well-mannered little lady will come to you when called! But don’t let Keona’s quiet and relaxed demeanour fool you – her playful side shines as much as her silky soft fur! Bust out the laser light and watch the sparkle light up in her eyes! Catnip toys are also a big hit! When she’s had her share of leaping and chasing, you might find Keona lounging by the window or atop her cat tree, watching the world go by. Keona would love to be adopted by someone who is home often, as she thrives in the company of people. Meet & greets are either in person with the foster and cat or virtual, at the discretion of the foster.

Applications are screened by volunteer(s) and foster. A vet check is also conducted as part of contract review/approval.

We also conduct vet checks for all applicants. Due to Covid we are not doing home visits at this time. We are very diligent in our screening of potential adopters. Applications are approved based on best fit for the cat, not first come, first served.

We are currently in the adoption centre at PetSmart Etobicoke, where we have a limited number of cats and kittens. All of our available cats can be viewed on our website.

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.
We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.
We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
