My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chester Cheeto, the small yet mighty kitten with tail stripes as bold as his love for Churu! Chester loves A Room with a View, any window to gaze out upon the snow from his warm, cozy perch. Much like a little orange fruit, once his layers of incredulity are peeled back, his sweet flavor will have you convinced that he is the best orange you ever had. Chester is very playful with all the humans he has met so far in his little life. He LOVES to be scratched under the chin specifically whereas his brother prefers pats to the top of the head. He likes to sleep tucked along the side of any human his brother is napping on. Chester really likes to be held and it likely won’t be long before you earn his sweet cuddles.

Chester adores his brother, Julius, and would love to be adopted along with him, although he has also gotten along with a variety of other kittens in foster care. He must be adopted with (or into a home that already has) a welcoming and playful cat he can bounce around with! In his current foster home, he walks through the doorway next to his brother with their sides magnetized together and their tails intertwined - it is so cute! The boys are getting bigger every day and absolutely thriving through their firsts; first meeting with a cat-friendly dog, first interaction with kids, first nail trim. They both are immensely excited by new humans. Could that be you?

Chester is almost six months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, successfully treated for ringworm, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Please apply for him (and his brother?) today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
