My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Lana!
I may be as cute as pie, but I’m just as sweet, too! I can be a little silly at first and might play hard to get, but deep down, I love attention, so I can’t resist for long. Once I warm up to you, I’ll be your affectionate cuddle buddy. I’ll greet you with the cutest squeaks and, if you start chatting with me, I’ll roll over onto my back, hoping for a nice belly rub.

I love to perch on high shelves where I can keep an eye on everything from my comfy vantage point. When I need some quiet time, I retreat to my cozy, covered cave for a peaceful nap.

Playtime is my favorite! I’m a toy lover at heart—mice and catnip sticks are my top picks, but I’ll have a good time with anything that rolls or jingles. You’ll often find me rolling around on the floor, happily batting my toys around.

I’m very bonded to my brother, Lex, and we must be adopted together. He’s my best friend and we’re the perfect pair! We’re both playful, loving, and love spending time with our people. We bring twice the fun and twice the kitten snuggles—what’s better than that?

We haven’t had much experience with other cats or dogs, so they can be a bit scary for us. But with a slow introduction, I’m sure we could all get along just fine.

Will you come meet us? Together, we’ll bring so much laughter and joy to your home! If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationDecember 22, 2024, 6:05 am

Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
