Meet Bambi – The Bestest Girl Ready for a Fresh Start

Bambi’s story began on the streets of Houston, where she was found wandering near the home of our branch manager, Jade. At just about one year old, this sweet girl has already proven her resilience. Now spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and officially dubbed “the bestest girl” by our vet, Bambi is ready to find a loving home where she can thrive.

Life on the streets left Bambi with some anxiety, and she’s currently decompressing in her foster home. Once she warms up to you, though, her gentle, affectionate nature shines. She loves people and is learning to trust the world again. She gets along with other dogs, but as of now, we think Bambi would be happiest as the only doggo in the home while she continues to build her confidence.

At Paws From Afar, we believe that all dogs deserve adventures as often as possible—new paths to explore, fresh scents to discover, and even oceans to swim in. Bambi is no exception. She’s looking for a family who will give her the love, patience, and security she needs to shine while exploring life’s simple joys.

Adoption Details

• Adoption Fee: $600. The adoption fee includes all vetting and transport from Texas.


• Pet Insurance: Required before pickup. We recommend Trupanion for its comprehensive coverage and direct payments to veterinary hospitals. Please send a copy of your policy to deb@pawsfromafar.org.


• All dogs are up-to-date on vaccines and spayed/neutered before adoption.
