Located At: Foster Home

I am a spayed female, tricolor Border Collie.

Age: I am estimated to be about 4 years old.

Weight: I weigh approximately 31 pounds.

More Info: I have been at the shelter since Nov 21, 2023.

Josie is a very sweet girl, who is also an athelete. She can easily clear a 4 foot fence with minimal effort, so she is an excellent candidate for dog sports. She has been in a foster home with other dogs and has gotten along well.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
