Hermey, one of our newest Speaklings, was named for Rudolph’s friend who was called a misfit because he wanted to be a dentist. We’re not sure what our Hermey wants to be yet, but we’re certain that whatever it is, he’ll be good at it.

Hermey is a gorgeous Australian shepherd puppy who is happy, energetic, and brilliant. Hermey is fearless and loves to explore, but he will also snuggle when his adventures are over. Hermey is deaf and is learning hand signs. He’s very focused and tuned in to his people. He’s fast and athletic and would likely be great at agility or other dog sports.

Hermey requires a home where someone is around most of the day. His new person must have experience with herding dogs and their energy and intelligence. Hermey cannot live in an apartment and needs a home with a physical, fenced yard. No very small children please as he would very much want to herd them. Hermey would do best with another friendly dog in the house.

This handsome, brainy boy is being fostered in metro Atlanta.

The first step in adoption will be to fill out an application. Once the application is approved, we will contact you. We may also request a home visit which will be done by one of our volunteers. Our goal is to not only find our pups a safe home but ensure it is a good match for the adopter and the pup.

Our adoption donation fee is $300.00. This includes the spay/neuter and the pup being current on vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped.
