My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Orlando is a neutered 4 year old purebred Bull Terrier that weighs 50 lbs and is fully vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative! He came from a kill shelter in Ga and was on the euthanasia list due to lack of space, not his behavior. I was asked to pull him and we brought him to our rescue in Pa! He is a very sweet boy! Dog friendly and people friendly, but we still have to cat testing him soon! Please consider giving him a good home he deserves! Submit Application

Inquiry can be made about a pet by emailing casey@rescuepetsservingvets.org and/or calling 570-441-0083. Application then emailed to adopter

Interview

Vet reference check is done if they have or had previous pets and applicant is interviewed on phone as well to insure compatibility

3.
Meet the Pet

A meet and greet is set up with potential adopter and pet at a agreed upon location

4.
Home Check

Home visit is required to check the safety of the home where pet will be adopted into.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Owner completes an adoption contract and I visit pet within a week at the new home.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of volunteers that rescue pets with medical needs from a kill shelter. We treat them at our associated Vet clinic and make sure they are spayed or neutered and vaccinated. Pets are then put up for adoption and we try and match them with the right owners. We give special priority to veterans and we begin service dog training while pets are with us. Pets are fostered in our homes or at the Veterinary Clinic until homes are found.
