Meet Pho! This fluffy 4-year-old female pomeranian weighs just 6.5 lbs and is as sweet and kind as she looks! In October, she was rescued from a horrific, illegal puppy mill in Busan, South Korea; Pho is one of almost 600 dogs saved through the efforts of Korean K9 Rescue and our incredible partners. Now thriving in foster care, Pho is looking for her forever family. Watch her rescue here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/pH4y4l8j2RE
Adopting a puppy mill survivor like Pho has unique rewards and responsibilities. She has shown incredible resilience and a bright spirit, but dogs from these backgrounds often require patience and time to decompress and adjust to a loving home. While Ping Pong is currently healthy and has received excellent veterinary care, potential adopters should be aware of the genetic predispositions common in dogs from such environments, including luxating patellas, heart conditions, dental issues, etc., that could arise later in life, and prepare both financially and mentally to help Pho live an everyday happy life.
