My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sabine is a 5 lb tortie born in July 2024, found as a stray in Spencer County. Don’t let her adorably grumpy face fool you—this little girl is full of purrs and potential!

She’s still learning to fully embrace affection from humans, but her soft, cloud-like coat and sweet nature make her irresistible. Sabine is ready for a patient and loving home to help her blossom into the cuddly companion she’s destined to be.

If you’re ready to show Sabine the love she deserves, apply to adopt her today at ITVrescue.org!

All of our cats are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
