My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Simba!

Simba is a spirited 13-year-old male who proves age is just a number. Bursting with lots of energy, Simba is an adventurer at heart who loves climbing, leaping to impressive heights, and playing tag. He’s always on the move, whether it’s a run in the park or a long walk where he confidently outpaces any dog around.

Simba was in a home with 3 other dogs Chihuahuas who have all spleen surrendered to Peace4Paws. He loved running in the large fenced yard with them  3 times a day.  He has so much energy you wouldn’t believe he is a senior.

Simba is a social butterfly who adores people and thrives on love and affection. He’s happiest when he’s cuddling up with his humans, soaking in hugs and kisses. When it’s time to rest, Simba prefers the cozy comfort of sleeping under covers or in dark, snug spaces.

A nature lover, Simba enjoys sitting on the grass, basking in the sun, and observing the world from a window. Grooming time is another favorite activity; Simba loves baths and being pampered.

Simba will require some dental care but is up to date on vaccines.

If you’re looking for a companion who’s full of life, incredibly affectionate, and ready to fill your days with joy, apply to adopt Simba at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application. He can't wait to become apart of your world!

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
