My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dahlia is a 5-month-old Terrier mix with a soft, sweet soul and a playful side just waiting to shine. Recently transferred from Fresno County, Dahlia is experiencing big city life for the first time and building her confidence one step at a time. She’s still learning the ropes of leash walking and loves when her people cheer her on with treats and encouragement. Dahlia is a cuddle bug at heart and is looking for a patient and loving family to help her grow into the happy, confident pup she’s meant to be. Come meet Dahlia today—she can’t wait to be your new best friend!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
