My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alice's owner very sadly has to give her up due to the situation she is in. Alice is good with small and large dogs and children. She is crate trained and housebroken and overall a great dog. How adorable is it that her ears stand naturally. She is located in Tucson. If interested please email Pam at pmabare@gmail.com

More about this rescue

We moved here from Illinois with the idea that we would stop doing rescue. But soon it was realized, rescue is not a job, it’s a passion. Pam started a rescue organization called Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus in the Chicago area in 2003 which specialized in Dobermans and English Bulldogs, but we did many other breeds as well. She stepped down and moved 2016 because she really wanted to own a coffee shop. While running the coffee shop many people would ask for help with their animals in one way or another and that is when Joe the rooster entered the picture. A woman asked if we could take Joe in as he was in a bad situation and his feet appeared to have frostbite on them. We said yes to Joe and that opened the doors to the idea of a sanctuary for animals like Joe and to taking in and adopting out animals in need again. . We will only be doing a few dogs at a time.
