My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

His sweetness shines through in every paw step. This shy little guy has a habit that will melt your heart: when you carry him, he “swims” with his front paws as if practicing for a puppy paddle championship!

Mochi can be a bit reserved at first and plays hard to get, but he secretly enjoys affection and thrives on gentle patience. He’s looking for a calm and loving home with another confident dog to guide him. Older kids would be best as they may be able to understand that Mochi needs his space and time to feel secure. He is good with other dog pals and enjoys his time hanging out with his doggy roomies.

Once Mochi feels safe and loved, he’ll blossom into the most loyal and lovable companion. He’s still figuring out house and crate training, but with a steady routine, he’ll catch on. Mochi’s quiet charm and “swimming” antics make him absolutely irresistible!

Mochi has an adoption investment of $500. Mochi's higher adoption investment does not mean we value his life more than others. We do not see dogs like Mochi enter our care very often. Therefore, his higher adoption investment will help create a financial legacy for the dogs that stay in our care for longer periods of time or require significant medical investment.

Adopting from HEA

FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS:
Adoption is a huge deal to us. We make a lifetime guarantee to our companions. In return, we’re asking you to provide a lifetime commitment once you’ve invited a pet to join your family. We’re excited that you're considering adoption. We look forward to working with you to find the right match!

TIMELINE:
Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough. Processing times will vary and are largely dependent on our ability to connect with your references, landlord, and veterinarian. To keep the process moving along, please make sure you’ve done your part:
1) Fill out your application completely - missing information slows down the process.
2) Let your references know to expect our call.
3) If you rent, let your landlord know to expect our call.
4) If you currently have pets, ask your veterinarian to be prepared to release your records.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE:
We make a pact with every animal that enters our care: They’re promised a loving home for the rest of their life. In turn, when you make the commitment to adopt, we ask you to make a lifetime commitment. We believe family is forever.
