Meet Apollo – Ready to Find His Forever Home! Apollo’s story begins in an overcrowded shelter after being turned in by his owner. At just a little over a year old and around 30 lbs, this light tan sweetheart with a black muzzle has so much love to give and plenty of energy to share! Apollo’s Highlights: Social Butterfly – Apollo loves meeting people and other dogs, though he gets very excited (expect lots of tail wags and some happy barks!). He’s still learning to contain his puppy enthusiasm, but it’s all in good fun. Cats? – He hasn’t quite figured them out yet. Kids? – He hasn’t met any yet, but we’re sure he’d be curious and eager! Favorite Things: Being outside and playing on the beach Toys, belly rubs, and treats! Long walks and lots of exercise—this boy has energy to burn! Training & Behavior: Leash Skills: Apollo walks well, especially alongside another dog. He’s learning “sit” and recall with positive reinforcement. Housebroken and crate-trained—he sleeps through the night without a peep (except for some adorable snoring, lol). He’s curious about new sounds but never scared—brave and adventurous! What Apollo Needs: A family who can help him burn off his energy with exercise, walks, and playtime. A fenced yard or safe area to run would be a huge bonus! Continued training to manage his excitement when meeting new people or dogs. His raspy bark and happy lunges can be misunderstood, but he’s all heart! Apollo is a lover at his core—give him half a chance, and he’ll be in your lap begging for belly rubs and kisses. He’s ready for a life filled with love, fun adventures, and a family to call his own Apollo is up-to-date on all preventatives and vaccinations, neutered, and micro chipped. He is located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Home visit, approved application, and adoption donation of $200 required. Interested in meeting Apollo? Contact us today and let’s make this boy’s dreams come true!

More about this rescue
We are a 501c3 non profit in South Carolina. PLP was started in 2015. We are a 100% foster based rescue where all dogs are placed in loving homes until a forever home is found. We pull dogs from high kill shelters in North and South Carolina whose time are up. Many of our dogs are heartworm positive, scared, defeated, and broken. Many are very sick. Each dog gets extensive vet care; all ailments taken care of, spayed or neutered, chipped, and are given all vaccines. They learn house manners and crate training while in their foster home along with how to walk on a leash and socialization skills.
Many are different dogs when they are adopted than when they came to us.
