Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DeWalt is a 2 year old coonhound who would love a job! He would love to work and run around in his new home. He is a smart, young guy who we think would respond well to training. He is also very food motivated, making training with him a breeze! DeWalt is ready to be given a task and work for the rest of his life! He has developed a bit of anxiety after not having a job to do, but he has a bay that says he is ready to work! His lovely singing voice has caused some neighborly tension in the past, so we are looking for a forever home where neighbors won’t be disturbed by his bay. After DeWalt goes on a run, he’s ready to curl up in his bed and cuddle. He loves his floppy hound ears scratched and will quickly fall asleep in your lap if you let him.
We are looking for a home for DeWalt where he has lots of room to run around and that is outside of city limits. We are looking to place him in a home that is familiar with working breeds and is serious about giving him a job. While he is a very sweet dog, we think he would do best in a home without small children as he is a very large, energetic guy!
DeWalt’s adoption fee is $175. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines! Please call us or email us at staff@whitmanpets.org if you are interested in meeting him!
