Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This independant boy will be best matched with an adult only home or a home with older teenage children (depending on the family). We would highly recommend him to be an acreage or farm dog but feel that he would also do well in the city. He will need daily leash walks until he learns a recall and is bonded to his new family in which then he could be a candidate for off-leash parks. We would highly recommend a basic manners class or private training depending on the experience of his adoption family. He is a sociable boy but doens`t like to be fussed over. Loves to hang out with his people and stay close to them for petting and companionship.

Go meet their pets
Effective March 1, 2021 AARCS began a pilot to manage pet adoption services for The City of Calgary. The goal is to reduce the time adoptable pets spend sheltered, for the overall welfare of the animals. AARCS has an extensive fostering network, which increases the opportunity for animals to be cared for in homes, instead of shelters, while they wait for their new family. Animal Services will continue to carry out medical and dental care and spay and neuters for adoptable animals before they are transported to AARCS for adoption or fostering. https://aarcs.ca/adoptable-animals/
