Meet Casey, a 2 year old, 20-pound male Spaniel mix who's an energetic pup that will thrive in an active household.
Casey is crate-trained and finds comfort in his safe space. He's also a great eater, which helps with his training. He's already learned his name, leash walking, come, down, and bed. This friendly pup is always seeking company and loves to be close to his humans. He's a gentle space invader, gradually encroaching until he's on your lap.
Casey has great energy, and regular exercise and playtime are crucial to keeping him healthy and happy for years to come, and for that reason we feel he'd do best with an owner who has a yard for him to run around and play in. He would not be a good apartment or condo dog.
He's been well-behaved with his foster family who are certified dog trainers and are happy to coach Casey's new family to success. Casey tends to get over stimulated by other dogs, cats and kids. He'd be happy to have another dog or the same energy level to play with, but any introduction to another dog in the household would be gradual. He'd also be fine as a solo dog as long as he got exercise and playtime.
Casey is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines for his age. His adoption fee is $300. A refundable training deposit of $100 will be also due upon adoption. Training must be provided in a timely fashion to ensure our pups become the best canine citizens. The training deposit will be refundable within 3 months of the adoption date.
All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application today! All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.
