My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A volunteer writes:
As soon as I laid eyes on him, Amsterdam jumped off his kuranda bed. He is a young tiger eager to meet new friends and go on an unexpected adventure. Oh oh, escape alert! Amsterdam was really ready to take a trip and explore his new surroundings.... Sorry mate, my lap is the limit! Surprisingly, Amsterdam listened and just stayed at the edge of his kennel, spreading slowly his forearms over my legs, advancing outwardly and leaning strongly against my hand for pets, purring loudly....He agreed, though for me to place him back into his quarters. Amsterdam is quite a friendly, sweet, enthusiastic and social kitty who likes company, cuddles and is not afraid of new situations. I did not get the lovebites he gifted his assessor with but we clearly became very good friends at the end of our first encounter. Amsterdam was found in a park by a Good Samaritan who like our admitting staff and veterinary team, found him to be a very pleasant feline. Amsterdam is a young man, healthy looking, smartly dressed, superfriendly and already neutered who is ready to leave us with his new adopter or family . Come and meet him very soon at the Manhattan Care Center.

Amsterdam interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that he go to a home with adopters with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in overstimulation.
