My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5658853 Meet Venus , a 4-year-old pitbull and German Shepherd mix who’s the definition of a chonky, squishy dream girl and pet of the week at the shelter! With her sleek, softly colored coat and stout, solid build, she’s the perfect cuddle buddy for pets and snuggles. Venus has a medium energy level, making her easy to handle both on and off leash, and she’s a great companion for both chilling at home and outdoor adventures. This beautiful girl has an incredibly affectionate nature, with a gentle smile that will melt your heart—she just wants to be your BFF! Venus loves treats and takes them gently, showing off her manners and willingness to please. She’s been at the shelter for far too long and truly needs a loving home to call her own. Venus is also great with other dogs, showing appropriate social behavior, and shows clear signs of potty training—she even sits beautifully on command. Come scoop up this absolutely darling, all-around winner of a pup today!

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
