My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5660204 Meet Lucky , a 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with the cutest masked face and a fluffy coat that’s perfect for cuddles! He’s an energetic, active boy who loves to run, play, and especially enjoys a good game of fetch. Lucky would be the ideal companion for an outdoorsy or athletic family who loves daily adventures and exercise. Lucky is one smart cookie that knows lots of commands already - sit, down, come, and drop it - but could easily learn more with the right motivation. With his shepsky roots and the personality to match, he would especially thrive in a secure yard where he can romp around safely (he may be tempted to jump a fence if there’s fun to be had!). Lucky is great with other dogs, but he has a strong prey drive and watches cats closely, so he’s best suited to a cat-free home. With his big personality and outgoing nature, Lucky may get excited and jump to say hello, so he’d do best with older kids or adults who can handle his exuberance. Come meet Lucky and see if he’s the right match for your active lifestyle!

  • 4 year old tricolor German Shepherd and Siberian Husky mix

  • 68.4 pound neutered male

  • Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today!

  • Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 10/27/24 as a stray

  • adorable masked face with a cuddly fluffy coat and a sweet curled tail

  • so friendly, very active

  •  loves to romp around, running and playing - especially fetch!

  • perfect fit for an outdoorsy or athletic family - would make an excellent daily exercise buddy

  • Very smart boy - already knows commands like sit, down, come, fetch, and drop it

  • Friendly with other dogs, so could make a good pet sibling

  • looks like a shepsky and has the same personality traits, so would do best with a secure yard so he doesn't jump a fence to find some more fun

  • strong prey drive, watches cats closely, so no cats in the home

  • big personality, very outgoing - may get excited and jump up to say hi, so small kids and seniors may need to be careful

  • Okay on leash

  • May show signs of housebreaking

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
