My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fancy! Fancy had quite the entry into the Observatory Hill Gang, bringing her 4 lil' babies with her, increasing the gang's numbers from 1 to 6 in just one day. She has been an absolute joy from day one, taking the best care of her babies and trusting others to help her out as well as handle them.

She is a sweet and gentle gal who loves playing with anything from a fishing pole toy, balls, toy mice, and especially ball pits with a scratching surface in the middle. But her absolute favorite thing is a catnip banana - don't get it twisted, she'll make a beeline for anything with a little nip in it but the power of the banana is strong with this one. She also loves a snack of wet food and can gobble up a Churu with the best of them but is always a lady while eating them!

Fancy has been amazing with her babies as they have been growing up and is also very patient with her foster cat brother, Tommy. She is such a sweetheart who likes to be pet and enjoys attention but never demands it.

We feel she'd do well on her own but would also do well with a feline friend or two with proper introductions. She would most likely be good with cat savvy kids of any age.

Fancy is estimated to be around three years old. She is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Please apply for this lovely lady today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
