Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Tommy is the first member of the Observatory Hill Gang. He was named by his foster's nephew but Tommy became nicknamed Tommy Salami and then Thomas Salamus. This striking cat came in as a very shy guy who lived under a bed for most of his first month in the house but eventually, with a little encouragement, started coming out and hiding in other places. Treats, Churus, and long reach toys have been the key to this boy's heart.
It took some time for him to warm up but now Tommy is an excitable boy and is quite spirited. His foster family affectionately calls him " adorable... but a chaos goblin". He can play almost endlessly with some feathers on a string or a cat dancer. Tommy loves a crinkly ball when the mood strikes him. He also enjoys curling up on the couch, on the radiator, a firm sherpa bed and occasionally even on the bed when everyone's asleep.
Since the gang has grown, Tommy has come out of his shell even more. He plays with his foster sister, Fancy, and is even making a nice uncle to her babies. Tommy loves crunchy treats and is an absolute nut for Churu - nothing gets his attention quite like a Churu or the crinkling of a bag of treats, but he's a gentleman when eating them.
Tommy will need some extra time to get comfortable in his new house and with his new people but will be a loyal little buddy to the person who gives him that chance. We believe that with a proper introduction Tommy would do well in a home with another cat. He would most likely do well with older, cat savvy kids. Due to his cautious nature, we suspect he would prefer a dog-free household.
Tommy is estimated to be around 1.5 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. His worst habit is being a little too interested in scratching the couch, which his foster family is working with him on. Are you patient but looking to invite a little chaos into your life? Consider Tommy!

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.
2.
Approve Application
We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.
3.
Interview
We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.
4.
Meet the Pet
Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!
6.
Pay Fee
7.
Take the Pet Home
Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
