My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth:5/20/2023

Description:

Hi, I’m Addie (short for Adara)! I’m playful, curious, and love chatting with my humans. I’m not much of a lap cat, but I enjoy being around my people. I’ll walk right over to you, rub against your legs and greet you with excitement! Belly rubs and chin scratches are my favorite, especially during playtime. I’m fine being picked up too—my favorite is hanging my paws over your shoulder! I got along well with a shy dog and a playful cat, so I’d love a furry friend in my new home. While I haven’t met kids yet, I’d do best with older ones who understand my need for “me time.” I’m ready for a forever home where I can relax, have fun, and bond with my new family. I can’t wait to show off my personality to you.

Words to Describe Me: Playful, curious, chatty, independent

Favorite Place to Sleep: In a warm window.

Ping Pong or Super balls that bounce for chasing. Perfect Day: Warming myself in the window, running after super balls, playing with other kitties

Kitty's Likes: belly rubs, chin scratches, having conversations with my human.

Kitty's Dislikes: Being held like a baby, I’ll let you but it’s not my favorite.

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: belly rubs, kisses on the neck or cheek, chin scratches

Favorite Treat: Rotisserie chicken, Luvsome licking sticks

Additional adoption info

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
