Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name, age, breed: Olive, 2 year old, Rottweiler Mix
Likes: treats & attention!
Dislikes: Unknown
What would be the ideal home? Suitable for a first-time home that is able to give lots of attention and meet my exercise needs!
Good with other cats? Unknown
Good with dogs? Yes
Good with children? Unknown - recommend dog-savvy kids!
Temperament: Very sweet girl
Motivators? Treats!
Any commands? sit, down, paw
House trained? Unknown
Crate trained? Unknown
How long will it take to settle into a new environment? 3-3-3 rule: First 3 days - Your dog may be overwhelmed and may hide, have a lack of appetite, or test boundaries. Give them space and time to adjust in a quiet room with their bed, food, water, and toys. 3 weeks - Your dog may start to settle in and their personality will emerge. You can expect behavior issues to arise, so set boundaries and expectations with positive reinforcement training. 3 months - Your dog should be comfortable and acclimated to your home. They should know their routine and expect meals and enrichment at specific times.
Medical: Needs to be spayed still - the Kingston Humane Society will cover the cost and complete the spay procedure prior to a full adoption.
