My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5662946 Meet Adam, a 2-year-old Rottweiler with the gorgeous, classic looks of a purebred pup! He’s a big, chonky boy weighing in at a hefty 91 pounds. So, while he’s got plenty of warm snuggly cuddles to give, he’ll need a strong handler to help keep him in check, especially during walks. Don’t let his size worry you, though! Adam is incredibly attentive to his people and very treat motivated, making him a quick learner with the right rewards. This intelligent boy comes already well trained with many basic commands like sit and down, making him the perfect fit for a family looking for a well-behaved and reliable pup. Adam is also friendly with other dogs - greeting them with a wiggly, happy, energy -  so he could be an excellent pet sibling. If you’re ready to add a loving, smart, and cuddly forever companion to your family,  Adam is just the one for you!

  • 2 year old black and tan Rottweiler

  • 91 pound neutered male

  • Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Adam has a bit of an itchy skin condition and is missing a little patch of fur, so he will need to be adopted on a health waiver; adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and possible treatment

  • Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 11/10/24 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes, and no idea why, as Adam is such a good boy!

  • came in with Faith (A5662943) , who may be his sister

  •  gorgeous classic look, could be a purebred

  •  a big chonky boy - has plenty to cuddle with, but will need a strong handler since he is a hefty 91 pounds

  •  very attentive to his people and treat motivated, so will learn quickly - especially with some tasty rewards!

  •  perfect for a family that is looking for a well behaved and reliable pup - is incredibly intelligent and comes pre-trained with so many basic commands, like sit and down

  •  friendly with other dogs - approaches with a wiggly, loose body and a happy energy - so could be a great pet sibling!

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
