Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
A24090 Luna is a black colored, approximately 1-year-old, 47-pound, spayed female, German Shepherd.
She entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 12-05-2024 due to the fact he is moving out of state and can’t bring her.
Luna is a friendly, eager and excited girl here in the shelter. She is very much still puppy like. Our staff says she is a sweet, friendly and hyper. They say she is mouthy and grabs ahold of everything with her mouth, not aggressive or mean, but puppy like. She will need love, time and attention to be her best family member. She was easy to leash but pulls the whole time and will need to be worked with and leash trained. She has had some training and will sit if you have a treat or if she isn’t distracted. She will need some manners training as she jumps up on people for attention and to give loves. She has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. But she does mimic their behavior, if a dog comes to her kennel sniffing and is nice, she does the same. If they come to her door barking and being aggressive, she follows their lead. She would do best with an active family with a yard to get her energy out. The previous owner says she was mostly an outside dog, so not house broken and she has lived with other dogs, but not cats or children. Luna will be a fun-loving family member in her new forever home.
