Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Andy is an absolutely wonderful 8 month old dog. He is easy to train, will happily walk trails without needing a leash (I always have a long training leash on him, but he doesn’t pull and always comes when I call him), and knows basic commands. He is medium-high energy, playful, cuddly, and very smart. I would absolutely love to keep him, but I am a single mom with a high energy 3 year old boy. My little boy has no idea how to handle dogs, so he and Andy rile each other up which leads to dangerous situations unless I’m watching all the time. For example, they were chasing each other around and my son got pushed down the stairs on accident. Andy has never shown any sort of aggression despite my toddler being a bit rough with him. It is just too hard to safely watch both of them all the time by myself. Andy is nervous toward strangers but opens up quickly. Whoever gets Andy will be very lucky to get such a wonderful dog. This breaks my heart but I have to put my son first. Thank you.
