My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gucci, a youthful bundle of joy who`s always eager for his next adventure. He`s a friendly, playful 17-pound soul, with an energy that`s simply infectious. When he`s not exploring his surroundings with curious eyes, he`s seeking out your lap for a cuddle, his sweet nature making him the perfect companion. Gucci is gentle yet excitable, his zest for life evident in his playful antics and affectionate kisses. He behaved very well with his finder`s child and seems eager to get to know the other shelter dogs. His social nature shines. He`s always alert, ready to join you on any adventure, his hyper energy making every day a fun-filled experience. We don`t know if he is house trained yet. Gucci`s endearing qualities make him a delightful companion, his friendly and playful nature promising endless love and joy. Adopt Gucci, and let his sweet, adventurous spirit fill your life with love and happiness. (tw 12/15/2024)

More about this shelter

Citizens For Animal Protection, founded in 1972, is committed to sheltering, rescuing, and placing homeless animals in loving homes; advocating respect and compassion for all animal life; providing humane education to prevent animal cruelty; and raising awareness in the community of the needs of animals.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
