My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Nala was brought in by a community member on December 10, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Nala! This sweet girl has a heart full of love and a big personality. She has spent time living with many other dogs, so she's well-socialized and gets along great with her furry companions. Nala also shared her space with a cat and has shown she's respectful and adaptable. She absolutely thrives on attention and will happily soak up all the pets and cuddles you can give her. If you've got treats, she's your best friend! Nala is looking for a loving home where she can continue to receive the care and affection she deserves. Could you be her perfect match? Bring a leash and collar and come meet her today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
