This charming 1 year old female Shepherd/Husky mix with lovely brown eyes is ready for her forever family! 🐶
Crate trained and treat motivated, she's a breeze to train—as long as you remember the golden rule: "treats first, questions later."🥰 When not perfecting her leash skills, she's generally found trying to convince her foster brothers that she's the boss.
This sweet girl is energetic and playful and has a heart filled with love that she's ready to share with her family. She gets along brilliantly with other dogs as her two doggy foster brothers will confirm!
Although Baby D can be a bit shy in big crowds, she did exceptionally well when she met adults and teens at an adoption event. We know she will surely blossom with patient and kind-hearted family members. One of Baby D's favorite things in the world is rolling on her back, awaiting belly rubs. It's safe to say that this adorable gesture will melt your heart every single time! Additionally, she is a fantastic travel buddy and behaves impeccably during car rides.
If you are looking for a loving and energetic furry companion, Baby D is the perfect match for you. Adopt Baby D today and experience the love of a lifetime!

More about this shelter
The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
