My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.

* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.

The Jacket puppies are a litter of 8 week old Corgis ready to snuggle up with you for the winter. These gorgeous babies were born to Mama Jacket, who was surrendered to us pregnant (a surprise to us all). The puppies were born in our rescue and have been raised with love and affection from day one. Now, they’re ready to find forever homes of their own. This litter is 3 boys and 2 girls. Mama weighs around 20 pounds so babies will be in that range fully grown. Ready for the cutest wardrobe accessory in the world? Add a Jacket puppy!

Beanie (M): Beanie is a warm and cozy puppy who’s ready to be the cutest addition to any cold-weather look! He may be the smallest of the bunch, but his gorgeous merle coat makes him pop! He is a little energizer bunny who loves to pounce on falling leaves as he herds his siblings around the house. Beanie has a sassy temperament that makes the entire house laugh constantly as he goes about his daily antics. Beanie is go-go-go until he’s ready to sleep and then he curls up in an adorable little pile of puppy limbs. Toys are no match for Bouncy Beanie, he will drag any Lambchop toy behind him as he races from activity to activity with ease. Our little man has no fear as he tackles the world around him. He’s ready to be the warmest snuggle buddy as well as the most wonderful, faithful companion. Put our Beanie on and hit the trails today!

Boots (M): Boots is a fluffy little intrepid adventurer ready to take on the world with his humans by his side! Our blue-eyed Romeo has the cutest little speckled nose and he knows how to use his charm to fulfill his every whim! He lives big, playing hard until he’s ready for rest and then crashing for a well-earned nap. Boots is the most independent of the bunch, but more in the sense that he is ready to adventure and explore more of the world. He loves sniffing leaves and exploring untrodden trails, and would be thrilled to fill up photo albums of his adventures with his forever family. His extra fluffy coat makes him look like a little cotton ball and he is an absolute dream to snuggle with on the couch when you’re ready for a nap on a rainy day. Ready to explore the world? Lace up Boots and head out!

Cardigan (F): Cardigan is ready to wrap herself up in a warm blanket and snuggle the winter away with you! Cardigan has the shortest legs of the bunch, but she doesn’t let her siblings have fun without her! She races around with the best of them, pouncing on leaves or tails without a care in the world. Her adorable little face and her heart-stopping puppy dog eyes make her impossible to resist when she wants a treat or another round of snuggles. Cardigan is a little energizer bunny until she’s ready for bed, then she’s curling up and snoozing happily, ideally as you rub her belly and coo over her. Cardigan can keep up with her brothers and makes sure everyone has an amazing day, as she has a silly and goofy personality that can brighten even the rainest day. Throw on our warmest Cardigan and get cozy with your new bestie!

Corduroy (M): Corduroy is a snuggle buddy puppy who’s ready to get cozy with you! His speckled nose and his bright blue eyes give him a striking look that makes him an amazing potential Instagram model. He is the most mellow and gentle of his siblings and is often found exploring the backyard by himself as his brothers and sisters wrestle around him. If he sees an open lap, he is zooming over to claim his spot and get a serious dose of snuggles. He will repay you with endless puppy kisses, he promises! Corduroy loves his people more than any toy or snack, and he faithfully follows his foster mom from room to room until something catches his eye and then he’s off on another adventure! While he’s mellow, he doesn’t let his siblings have all the fun and he would be an amazing playmate for any home. Ready for a warm embrace and some puppy kisses? Meet Corduroy!

Mittens (F): Mittens is a floofy little cuddlebug who is ready to keep you warm all winter! Mittens has a striking coat that makes her look like a fluffy little stuffed animal, but one that gives the sweetest puppy kisses! Mittens is more mellow compared to her siblings but she can still get down with some romping. She loves her snuggles and will fall over her paws for a belly rub (or five). Mittens got her name because she used to fit in the palm of her foster mom’s hand and she would snooze the hours away in the pocket of a hoodie. As she’s gotten bigger, she’s just gotten more irresistible! Mittens has the most gorgeous long eyelashes that frame her puppy dog eyes. You’ll be unable to resist giving her the world on a silver platter. If you’re ready for a new favorite thing, pick up some wooly Mittens!

The Jacket puppies wake up ready for a day of being absolutely adorable. They have breakfast, take care of potty business, and are ready for the day! They play the morning away with their toys and rounds of wrestling matches. They each get individual snuggle time in the morning and love their belly rubs. After a few hours, they have a nap until lunch when they have a snack. When the weather cooperates, they spend their afternoons romping around the yard, exploring and smelling all that nature provides! They then nap again until their evening meal. They watch as their foster humans eat dinner before they bundle into laps for cuddles and kisses. Once they’ve gotten their fill of snuggles, they wind down and head into their pen around 11 PM for the night.

The Jacket puppies have been raised alongside dogs of all ages and sizes. They love the resident cats as well. Every puppy is extremely friendly when meeting new humans. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss plans for continued training and socialization. Corgis are exceptionally smart so prepare for a lifetime of fun adventures! Add a Jacket accessory to your winter look today!

The Jacket puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids must be over the age of 6. Homes who do not meet these criteria will not be considered.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
