My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Evergreen likes to explore her environment thoroughly. Her nose is pressed close to the ground, taking in all the smells. While she is investigating things, she pays you no mind. But once she’s done, Evergreen is all about you and whatever treats you have. She’s not shy about taking treats either. She’ll help herself to your pocket and get them out herself.

Came in as a stray on 12/12/24.
Found around 7000 S. Cottage Grove Ave. in Chicago.

*Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL

*The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.

*All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.

*Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
