Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
With her dappled golden and brown coat and her dainty stature, Star is so gorgeous! Generally inexperienced with change or meeting new people up to this point, Star has found her arrival at the shelter stressful and has been feeling rather shut-down. In the past, she was known to solicit attention from her trusted caregiver with some nice leg-rubs and, in the shelter, a slow approach has helped Star show her fondness for cheek-scratches. Star's perfect adopter will offer her patience and a hands-off approach while she is settling in and learning to trust her new humans.
Star is used to living in an environment with many other cats, including her friend Blitz (303778); if you're currently in the market for two kitties, Star and Blitz may share a $50 adoption fee. Particularly if not going home with Blitz, Star is highly recommended for a home with another welcoming kitty or two to help her gain confidence. At this time, she's available to a household with kids aged 10+ or no kids. Primary Color: Torbie Brown Orange Weight: 7.21875 Age: 1yrs 8mths 1wks

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter and first vaccines, medical exam, and microchip.
How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.
We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.
Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.
