My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Bellaire and Lady #934034 were brought in by their previous owner on December 13, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Bellaire, a friendly and lovable girl with a mix of energy and chill that makes her truly special. Bellaire was brought in with her sister, Lady #934034, and they would love to be adopted together. Bellaire is crate trained, knows commands like "sit" and "down," and has a big love for treats, which makes training a breeze! While she can be reactive to dogs on leash, she's done well with other dogs in off-leash settings, showing her playful and social side. Bellaire adores attention and is always happy to soak up all the attention you can give. She's an active girl who enjoys staying busy but also knows how to relax and unwind when the time is right. If you're ready to welcome this dynamic duo into your home, Bellaire and Lady are ready to meet you!

Dog Reactive Dog:  Bellaire requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
