Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Monty is as sweet, snuggly, and playful as ever. Meanwhile, he has also been getting quite good at the leash, and he has learned to chill around smaller dogs. He gets along with all dogs and he is not a barker. With proper exercise, I have found him to be easy in the house when I am home; he mainly lies around, sleeps, or chews on a kong. We have started crate training and he’s spent a couple of hours in there when I had to run errands. He whines when I first put him but he’s accepting and learning. He also rides very well in the car, including multi-hour trips. Monty will do best with a family that appreciates and attends to his lovely, exuberant energy and can work with his occasional rascal impulses (i.e. counter surfing). Another dog, male or female, would probably be really great for him, and a yard to play in. Monty is super friendly and is a typical fun young Lab without major issues.
