My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Ms. Loretta L. and I came all the way from TN to meet you! My babies are all adopted and now it’s my turn. Are you looking for an easy, sweet, confident gal that will fit into most any home? I may be just it! I like to be around my people, twine around your legs to get attention and chat a bit; but not too much. I’ve discovered a few new things in my foster home, like….I’m allowed on the couch and can sit next to you for a good scratch. That really gets my purr machine rumbling. Just so you know….I do my nails on a cardboard scratching box, use the litter box faithfully, and am comfortable around a dog. As you can tell, I’m more a laid back polite gal who likes attention but can also entertain myself. Come check me out to see if you and I are a good fit!

*Come meet me this Saturday (12.28.24) at the Fort Collins PetSmart from 10am-2pm! This event is first come, first served so we recommend arriving early if you have a specific furry friend in mind! This event operates on a number system so upon arrival make sure to get your number and we will call numbers up in groups! Please note in order to receive a number you need to be an approved adopter within the last 3 months. We will have paper applications available at the event as well as our application via our website! We hope to see you there! :)*

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adoptable animals are located at our Taft Campus at 2200 N Taft Hill Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80524 or for more info call 970-484-8516.

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.
