My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Scarlet and I am about 10 weeks old. I hear my foster parents tell other humans that I am the BEST puppy they have ever seen! I am equal parts playful and cuddly. I love both big and small humans, get along great with other dogs & I even made a black cat friend in my foster home!

I am on the thinner side (but eat well and am growing by the day) and shiver in the cold, so I LOVE wearing sweaters to stay warm & cozy. My foster Mom brings me to work where my favorite place to be is sleeping in her lap or chewing my toys under her desk.

I have never had an accident in my crate and do my business every time I go outside. I also sleep in my crate through the night without a peep! I also walk well on a leash, which is pretty impressive at my age!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Application and more info may be found at: peaklabrescue.com/adopt. Please allow 24 hours for your application to be reviewed.

2.
Meet the Pet

If approved, you will be given the foster's contact info. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. You must come to Apex, NC (near Raleigh) to meet in person.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If it's a match you can take your dog home that day. Our Adoption Fee is $325 and you must complete and sign our Adoption Agreement.

4.
Take the Pet Home

If you return the dog within 7 days of adoption you may receive a refund of $275. A $75 administrative fee is required to cover our costs.

Additional adoption info

You will receive the dog's Vet records via email 7-10 days after adoption. You will receive the dog's microchip info and rabies tag (if appropriate) via USPS about 2 weeks after adoption.

Our Mission is to end dog homelessness in North Carolina. We save Lab Mixes and other dogs from abuse, neglect, abandonment, and high-kill shelters.
