My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

GRIZZLY BEAR is a teenage male kitty with a silky solid black coat adorned with a delightful white furry heart shape on his chest.   Sweet and social GRIZZLY loves people – he rushes to greet you as soon as you enter the room and follows you about – and he makes easy friends with other kitties.  When huggy-bear GRIZZLY is not snuggling with you, he loves to bat at wand toys and balls, climb cat trees and wrestle with other cats including his brother Yogi Bear.  GRIZZLY and his siblings were found abandoned in a parking lot and they’ve been cared for in a loving foster home – he excited to go home with his forever family!

GRIZZLY has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and include a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet GRIZZLY in foster care, please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet.    The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. Grizzly Bear ID# 2406-C0189.

DOB: 4/25/24 (est)

GRIZZLY BEAR WOULD LOVE A FAMILY WITH ANOTHER PLAYFUL CAT OR TO BE ADOPTED WITH HIS BROTHER YOGI BEAR; HE MAY DO WELL AS AN ONLY CAT WITH LOTS OF ATTENTION AND A STAY-AT-HOME ADOPTER.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
