Say hello to Merridew! This sweet, easygoing, BIG boy loves people and attention. He's affectionate, handsome and good-natured and is so happy to be off the street and in a warm, safe foster home. Merridew is a friendly, chill guy who would do fine with another cat or would be just as happy to be your only pet.

Merridew is about 1 year old. He is neutered, tested FELV-/FIV+ (he should be an indoor-only kitty, which we insist upon for all cats; please read more about FIV at humanesociety.org), up to date on vaccines and ready for an amazing adopter to give him the furrever home he deserves.

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.

We hold Saturday adoption events at Unleashed by Petco in Park Slope and Petsmart on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn (check our website and Facebook page for more information) and have cats at Bushy Tails pet store in Bushwick and Petsmart.
