Meet Slate, an adorable 1-month-old Terrier/Black Mouth Cur mix whose story is just beginning. Slate made his way to Big Dog Ranch with his mom and siblings after being surrendered by Phenix City Animal Shelter. Despite his young age, this little pup has already shown incredible resilience and an adventurous spirit. He's curious about the world, loves snuggling up for cozy naps, and enjoys playful moments with his littermates.

Slate is excited about the bright future ahead of him, and he's ready to meet a loving family who will guide him as he grows into a loyal and devoted companion. With his soft black coat and warm eyes, Slate is sure to capture hearts wherever he goes. He's looking for someone to share his journey, give him belly rubs, and make his dreams of a forever home come true. Could that someone be you?

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit our website adoptions page to complete an adoption application. at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. Once you have completed the application, we will contact you to let you know you have been approved and then you will be able to set up an appointment to come and meet dogs you are interested in. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
