My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Buddy! I'm a 5-year-old hound mix with a big ol' head, a curly tail, and the kind of eyes that will melt your heart. I'm a little derpy in the best way-it just adds to my charm and guarantees I'll make you smile every single day.

I'm looking for a calm and cozy home where I can relax and be my sweet self. I get along great with dogs and cats, so if you've got other furry friends, I'd love to meet them! If you're looking for a lovable goofball to brighten your life, I'm your guy. Let's be buddies!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
