(DOB 09/27/2022) Clifton, the dog who instantly knew how to make himself at home—and we mean instantly. He’s the kind of dog who walks in and says, “This is my spot now,” and everyone agrees. He’s already become an essential part of the family, and he’s made it his mission to visit the neighbors whenever he can—who can blame him? He’s basically the mayor of the block! He definitely has learned the art of making friends,
Clifton is one special pup, and if you’re lucky enough to have him around, you’ll quickly learn that he’s got plenty of love and joy to share—with just a touch of sass. Clifton is so sweet and gentle, he’s practically a walking cuddle machine. He’d love to have kids to play with, and he’s got no aggression in him whatsoever—just pure, unfiltered love. Since he’s still got some of that puppy energy, he’d do best with kids over 5, but he’s already a champ with his foster's 5-year-old granddaughter. A fenced yard would be perfect for Clifton to run free and burn off some of that playful energy, but don’t worry—he’s equally content lounging around inside with his family.
He’s also a surprisingly low-shedding pup, so I don’t mind letting him snuggle up on the furniture. Clifton’s not just a smart dog; he’s a lovable one too, and he’s sure to bring joy to any home lucky enough to have him.
Clifton’s a little shy about the throwing motion (we’re talking about you, frisbee) and doesn’t love being pointed at with a stick, but he’s getting better every day. He would rather be out of the crate than in and is good once in the car and settled in. He is actually a nice little companion when you are running a few errands.
At the end of the day, Clifton loves sleeping either on the sofa or right beside me on the bed. He truly is hte sweetest, sweetest dog ever!
As part of Clifton’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Clifton, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
