OUR SPAY AND NEUTER POLICY
The Hero Rescue charges a $100.00 spay/neuter deposit with every unaltered puppy that is adopted. This $100 deposit is refundable if adopter provides proof of sterilization within 14 days of the procedure. After the adoption is completed, all vetting (spay/neuter, boosters, heart worm and flea prevention) are the responsibility of the adopter. This deposit will not be returned if the animal is not spayed/ neutered within the established timeline.

Our History
The Hero Rescue launched in 2019 with a group of experienced and dedicated fosters. We combined all of our experiences to visualize the mission and operation of The Hero Rescue. We are dedicated to the animals we serve, to the families we impact, and to respect for each other. We are a 501c3 tax exempt non-profit organization.
Our Mission
The Hero Rescue is formed by a network of volunteers and fosters committed to saving lives of animals at risk of euthanasia, abuse, and neglect. By relocating animals from over crowded shelters to Maryland for adequate veterinary care, castration, emotional rehabilitation and eventually adoption, we will make a difference in the lives of animals as well as in the local communities we serve .
