GRANOLA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Granola Best Guess for Breed: Lab and hound mix

Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of December 2024 SEX: Female

Estimated Weight: 31 lbs as of 12/16/24; she is still growing!

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested if you have them.

Currently Living at: Rural shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here.

Granola is Looking For: Her forever home! This gorgeous young girl is barely out of puppyhood and wants all the things big older pups want - lots of play time and snuggles and more play time. She's also all into walkies - with that hound in her, sniffing is high on her wish list! Dog school would be good, too, so she can show how super smart she is. Most of all though - she wants to grow up always being safe and loved and under her own roof.

What do you say? Is there a spot for Granola in your home and your heart?

What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
